Getting started

What we need from you to start your website

The handful of things that let us start designing on day one — and what you can send later.

Published 4 min read

The fastest projects are the ones where we have what we need up front. None of it has to be polished — we’ll refine it together — but the more you can give us early, the sooner you see a real design instead of placeholder text.

The essentials (day one)

  • Your business name, contact details, and ABN as you want them shown.
  • A logo, if you have one — any format. If you don’t, tell us; we’ll work out the branding with you.
  • A rough idea of the pages you want. “Home, About, Services, Contact” is enough to begin. We’ll suggest a structure.
  • A few sites you like (competitors or not) and one line on why. This tells us more than a long brief.

What can come later

Content is the part that holds most projects up, so don’t wait on it to get started:

  • Page copy — send what you have. If writing isn’t your thing, we draft it and you approve.
  • Photos — your own are best. If you don’t have any, we’ll use tasteful stock and swap them later.
  • Logins for your domain or any existing site, when we reach the go-live step.

How you send it

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll get a billing/support account. Open a ticket and attach your files there, or share a Google Drive / Dropbox link. That keeps everything in one place with a written record — see how we work with you on support.

Not sure you have “enough”? You almost certainly do. Start the conversation and we’ll tell you exactly what’s missing.
